TOGAI Team Supports Global AI Hackathon in Uganda

Best wishes to the TOGAI Lab team Nishant Luitel, Mahesh Shakya, and Prasiddha Bhandari who are traveling to Uganda to provide mentorship and support for the upcoming Global AI Hackathon in Obstetric Ultrasound. The hackathon focuses on federated learning and AI applications, transforming maternal and fetal healthcare in low-resource settings.

This event is a follow-up to a three-week virtual training program held earlier this year, where mentors trained participants on both technical AI methods and medical applications. Five teams from each of five participating countries Nepal, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, and Pakistan will be competing, with the winning team having their work showcased at the 20th AI in Health Africa Conference and potentially receiving project support.
