Do you have a passion for solving complex problems in deep learning and its applications across various domains such as Medical Imaging, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision?  

We are pleased to announce its Internship & Training Program for the year 2026. This opportunity offers a dynamic environment for talented individuals to work on impactful projects under the mentorship of experienced supervisors and researchers. 

Position: Research Intern  

Duration: 6 months (Option for both Part Time – 12 hrs/week or Full Time Traineeship)  

Type: Unpaid  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Engage in hands-on research projects related to deep learning and its applications. 
  • Learn at a deeper understanding level on the topic one has been assigned 
  • Familiarize with the state-of-the-art literature, critically understand the relevant papers  
  • Build project-specific deep learning training pipelines, train and evaluate models  
  • Engage with fellow interns and a team of researchers at NAAMII  
  • Do presentations on progress in weekly meetings and write a report on research findings  

 

Eligibility Criteria  

  • Currently pursuing a final year or recent graduates in Undergraduate degree in Computer Science /Engineering, or related fields.  
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Machine Learning and its mathematical foundations (Probability and Statistics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Computer Programming & Algorithmic Thinking)  
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, and any Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) is a plus but not mandatory.  
  • Keen interest in research and self-motivated  
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities  

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Show a good low-level understanding of technical topics you have worked on  
  • Track record in implementation of algorithms beyond calling library APIs, understanding of clean code practices and testing
