Dr. Sheela Sapkota is a public health professional with over 12 years of experience in Sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Maternal and adolescent health, and Health systems strengthening. She has worked with leading organizations including Save the Children, CARE Nepal and FHI 360, contributing to national-level program design, guideline development, and capacity building.
She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Tribhuvan University. Her work focuses on strengthening evidence-based health systems through research, data use, and policy engagement. She has extensive experience in clinical mentoring, training facilitation, and multi-sectoral collaboration with government agencies, development partners, and community stakeholders across Nepal.
At Nepal Applied Mathematics and Informatics Institute, she is particularly interested in advancing interdisciplinary research that integrates public health with data science and innovative technologies to improve health outcomes.
